Somerset was a county in England. It was created when Wiltshire was split into two, and shares borders with Wiltshire, Cornwall, and Worcester Counties. Due to its geographical location, it was impossible to reach Cornwall without traveling through Somerset first. The capital of Somerset is Bristol.

In March of 1459, Somerset merged with Wiltshire and Cornwall to create Devon County.
