The Preston Meat Production Co-operative - or Preston Meat Co-op - was founded August 23, 1456. The goal of the guild is to bring low-cost meat to every table in Preston, leveraging members from woodcutters, corn farmers, cow and pig ranchers, carpenters, butchers and blacksmiths to agree to a uniform low wage and ensure inexpensive local meat production and distribution.
