The language of Classical Greek would not have been in common use in the 15th century. However, a great number of religious and phillisophical books in circulation dated back to the days of Ancient Greek, and so the language was still alive in Universities and Churches.
Knowledge of Greek is a skill that can be learned at universities, and is important in a number of proffessions, particularly "Church Way" and "Town Way"
