Early Years[]

William Blazing, Metropolitan Archbishop of Canterbury, was born on the 12th of March in the year 1438 in the picturesque town of Launceston, Cornwall. For the first 26 years of his life, William chose to live as a hermit, dedicating himself to a life of solitude and contemplation. During these years, he sought a deep connection with his faith and the divine, honing his spiritual understanding and strengthening his resolve.

However, the hermit's life took an unforeseen turn when his family was banished from their home in Launceston, and they were compelled to resettle in the charming town of Southampton, Devon. In his new surroundings, William found himself drawn into a different way of life. He decided to embrace his family's legacy by taking up the ancestral profession of blacksmithing. The centuries-old tradition of the Blazing family found new life through his skilled hands. The clang of the hammer against the anvil filled his days, and he became an integral part of the community, forging not only tools and weapons but also connections and bonds with those around him.

William's life took an unexpected turn when his cousin, Fastoner Blazing, known as Blazingfast, passed away. He was called upon by the Franciscan Order to chronicle the life and legacy of this holy man, a task that would leave an indelible mark on him. As he delved into the life of his cousin, William was profoundly inspired by Fastoner's unwavering faith, compassion, and commitment to serving others. This experience kindled a fire within him, igniting a fervent desire to continue Fastoner's mission of spiritual guidance and support for the community.

With a newfound purpose and a profound calling to serve, William decided to embark on his spiritual journey. On the 28th of May 1464, he made the momentous decision to enter the Franciscan Order. He took the habit at the Franciscan Grey Friars' convent in Liverpool, marking the beginning of a dedicated life in service to Jah and the Church. This transition from a hermit and blacksmith to a member of the Franciscan Order signified a profound transformation, one that was characterized by humility, compassion, and a commitment to leading a life aligned with his faith.

Political Career[]

The illustrious political career of William is a testament to his unwavering dedication to England and his multifaceted contributions to both the Church and the state.

On the diplomatic front, he served with distinction as Vice-Chancellor of Foreign Affairs, a Senior Ambassador to France and the Royal Domains, bringing diplomacy and tact to international relations. One of his great achievement is the Treaty of Recognition of Nobility Between the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of France, signed on the 18th March 1471 by HRM King Andreas Sharpe. He further extended his diplomatic expertise by assuming the role of Royal Ambassador to Ireland and Royal Ambassador to Franche-Comte and Lyonnais-Dauphiné from the 24th of August in 1464, fostering relations with neighboring regions.

In the realm of governance, he fulfilled essential roles within the Devon Council, acting as Constable in Devon Council XXXVI and as Spokesperson in Devon Council XXXVII. His political acumen and dedication to his duties made him a vital member of these councils. Furthermore, his inclusion in the privy councils of both Queen Alexanderia and King Kei highlights his pivotal role in advising and assisting the monarchy, contributing to the prosperity of the kingdom.

In recognition of his exceptional service to the Crown of England he was bestowed with different honours:

  • Companion of the Order of the English Lion (CEL) on the 4th of June in 1471 and 28th of October 1471
  • Crown's Medal for Public Service (CMP)
  • Crown's Medal for Theology (CMT)

During the invasion of Salisbury by Kragomir and his armies, the mayor Eloise. was overthrow and replaced by a puppet government. Even if the county took time to react, the puppet government was overthrown and an interim government was placed until the elections. That is when William was elected legally as mayor on the 05 of May 1473.
