===General Information===

*The Blacksmith is a trade open to Craftsmen and Craftswomen. It is a very good trade to choose and if the circumstances are right then it can be quite rewarding and make you wealthy.

*[[The Guild of English Artisans]] advises you that before choosing the trade of a Blacksmith you should speak to your town mayor and see the current usefulness of Blacksmiths and see if more Blacksmiths are needed otherwise overproduction could happen, which can reduce the chance of your products being sold.

*You should also check on the availability of Wood and Iron Ore. If you are in a forest town you will have no problems with wood, however if you don’t then you should ask your mayor if the town imports wood. As for Iron you should check with your local Trade Minister for the availability of Iron Ore. Some counties do sometimes restrict public access to it so make sure you check.

*The fastest way to get Wood Bushels is by cutting them yourself from trees in the forest. It does not cost you anything except one working day. If you borrow an axe from the Town Hall then it will also cost you 1 Wood Bushel.

*If you are unfortunate enough to not live in a Forest Town then to get Wood Bushels you should speak to your Mayor to see if he/she imports them. Usually you will find that the Town Hall has a healthy supply of Wood Bushels if it is not a Forest Town.

*The only way to get Iron Ore is by buying it from the market. Most times there will be Iron Ore available in your town. Speak to your Mayor about it if there is none on the Market.. All Iron Ore comes from the County so it is best that if you need some and the town is not importing it to send a message to the Trade Minister of your Local Council. Often they will give you a grant containing Iron Ore, which you can sell to yourself
